Chronopost

Chronopost is a courier and express delivery service based in France. It was founded in 1985 as a joint venture between La Poste, the French postal service, and the courier company DHL. The company was created to offer a range of time-critical delivery services for packages, documents, and other items within France and internationally.
In the early years of its operation, Chronopost focused on delivering packages within France, using a network of dedicated vehicles and hubs. In the late 1980s, the company expanded its operations to include international deliveries, and it began to offer delivery services to other European countries.
Over the years, Chronopost has continued to expand and adapt to changing market conditions and customer needs. In the 1990s, the company introduced a range of value-added services, such as tracking and traceability, delivery notification by email or SMS, and the ability to redirect a package to a different address or hold it at a Chronopost pickup location. In the 2000s, the company developed a strong presence in e-commerce, and it introduced new services such as same-day delivery and delivery on specific days of the week.
Today, Chronopost is a leading provider of courier and express delivery services in France and a major player in the European market. It is a division of La Poste and a member of the GeoPost group, which also includes the courier companies DPD and Seur.
