Nightfreight delivers a UK first for the two-man delivery market
National supply chain specialist Nightfreight will unveil a technology first for the two-man delivery market at E Commerce Expo 2010, Olympia, London (19-20 October), with its faster 'Two-Man, Next Day' service for larger deliveries being launched on Stand 400.
The new technology led service from Nightfreight not only promises business customers a speedier two-man, next-day home delivery choice for larger goods, but also a more convenient three-hour time slot.
It means retailers and etailers will benefit from a broader range of delivery options and faster lead times for non-standard products such as flat pack furniture, beds and mattresses and white goods, minimising waiting in times for their customers.
The new service will showcase alongside Nightfreight's unrivalled combination of four 'mix and match' delivery channels for B2C and B2B customers - from single parcels and non-standard products, to a specialist handling 'white glove' service and dedicated logistics.
Paul Tyson, D2H Director at Nightfreight, said: "E Commerce Expo presents us with a great platform to launch this new service to retailers who sell larger products primarily via the internet and who are looking to offer a more convenient delivery choice to their customers. "If it means the end customer only has to take half a day off work to accept the delivery, then this is extremely beneficial. "It also steals a march on the rest of the 'two-man' sector and puts us in a market-leading position."
Nightfreight operates a nationwide network of 52 depots, with 'next-day' business customers benefiting from 95 per cent UK wide coverage.
