Wickes have recently completed a move to a consolidated warehouse based in Hemel Hempstead. Using an import file from Venda, the consignment data is created and allocation is made manually at the pack bench. This improves on their previous format owing to the single MetaPack interface now rather than several different carrier interfaces meaning they have access to all despatch data in one location. |

Cloggs are a young and growing company who require a lot of systems integration across their order fulfillment capability. MetaPack has enabled them to combine their various carrier interfaces into one and provide additional customer services reporting. Currently they have various systems from point of order to despatch, none of which are integrated to each other. As a result a large amount of manual sense checking takes place. MetaPack enables them to sense check against consignments that have actually been despatched via exports from the home page. |

The level of integration has provided the ability for Citrus Lime users to tie up the operational loose end of dispatching consignments after they have been efficiently managed through the Citrus Lime system. Citrus Lime has developed the ability to make delivery options calls to MetaPack that give the pack bench user a range of options for allocation, immediately making the label available. There is no manual or local carrier knowledge required as all the restrictions are built into the MetaPack database that only allows carrier conformant consignments to be allocated to a particular carrier. |

Music on my PC manage theircarrier base centered on Royal Mail and Interlink using the import file functionality that they prepare themselves from a Sage report. As a multi channel online retailer they also have a ChannelAdvisor account from which many of their orders for Amazon and Ebay come, although their own in house technical expertise has enabled them to have a market presence elsewhere. They have expanded to purchase a new warehouse and increase their daily volumes. MetaPack has been at the forefront of ensuring that they are able to dispatch their consignments with ease. The format has also been set for increased integration with the new ChannelAdvisor automatic update integration as well as the future integration to Royal Mail’s OBA. The combination of these two integrations through the MetaPack system will reduce their operational administration substantially and only require a periodic monitoring of data, for which there will be historical information that can be analysed. |

Halfords wanted to significantly extend the range of products that they can offer on their website, without extending their stocks in the DCs by delivering direct from supplier to the customer and they use MetaPack to help achieve this. Each supplier is set up as a separate warehouse within the Halfords' own MetaPack system, an order file is created from within SAP on uploaded daily into the MetaPack system. Each shipper then has their own log in and can instantly see the orders placed on them for that day. From the MetaPack system they produce labels that allow despatch by Halfords' chosen carriers, Halfords paying only their group negotiated rates, and their contact centre retaining visibility of an order throughout its life from upload to delivery within the MetaPack system. The first shipper to join the operation increased their lines offered on the Halfords web site from single figures to in excess of 100. |
