MetaPack Launches Delivery Manager (DM) with first live customer
11 June 2007
MetaPack, the UK's leading delivery management company, has gone live with its first customer using DM (Delivery Manager). Delivery Manager is a new web based service that provides a shipper with one simple solution for all delivery needs. This software is built on the experience of MetaPack's enterprise solution that serves customers such as John Lewis, Boots, B&Q, Dixons and many others.
MetaPack Delivery Manager (DM) is operated over the internet, but it can easily import orders from just about any other system and turn these into parcel labels for any of the UK's major carriers. It can select the best carrier according to the shippers preferences and electronically communicates with all the carriers so they know what to pick up each day.
DM also provides all the carrier statuses through one web view. No need to go into different carrier systems. No need to look up information using different references. So DM automatically moves the order to the carrier and then tracks to the customer. MetaPack DM has a start up cost of £100 and is charged on a pay-as-you-go basis.
