MetaPack Delivery Manager (DM) introduces email alerts for all carrier deliveries

MetaPack DM, the leading web based delivery management system has launched "email Customer Care" as a new enhancement for all MetaPack Delivery Manager (DM) users. Email Customer Care enables the retailer to provide self-tracking and email alerts to all of its customers, regardless of which carriers are being used.
Now retailers can ensure that their customers can keep themselves fully informed of the progress of their delivery. They receive an email, click through on the link, and they are taken straight through to their parcel status. For customers who are too busy to do this, any number of emails can be sent advising them on the progress of their parcel.
Email Customer Care can be used to remind a shopper that the delivery is on its way, "so make sure you are in" or to advise customers that a planned delivery can no longer be made. And the advise is sent directly from the retailer to their customer, so the retailer can determine how their customer service is managed. This can include sending emails directly to the contact centre, so that they may call a customer and guide them through a delivery diffculty. MetaPack's Email Customer Care requires no set up or work from the retailer. MetaPack DM manages the whole service. Following simple configuration, all DM needs is an email address, from there on, customer care happens automatically.
