MetaPack Delivery Management System (DMS) goes live with Laura Ashley

Laura Ashley recently chose MetaPack Delivery Management System (DMS) as part of a complete revamp of their warehouse operations. The new solution has now gone live and integration between DMS and Manhattan Warehouse Management Operating System (WMOS)  permits real time calls at the packbench, thus creating a more streamlined approach to multi-carrier management. Laura Ashley uses Amtrak, Citylink, HDNL, DPD, Royal Mail and XDP.  Through the use of DMS and the appropriate selection of each carrier for each consignment Laura Ashley has recouped savings of over 10% on carrier costs without trying to negotiate down carrier rates.  With scanning of barcodes capturing the correct package size and accurate use of weights, Delivery Management System is able to offer the customers the optimum carrier and service for the job.
