MetaPack strengthens its board for growth
Bob Willett has been appointed Chairman of the Board at MetaPack the delivery management specialists. Willett, formerly Group Chief Executive of Al-Futtaim and Chief Executive of Best Buy International (retired), specializes in global multi-channel growth strategies, information technology transformations and supply chain. His international background in retail, customer analytics and consumer electronics perfectly equips him to assist in accelerating MetaPack’s progress in the field of multi-channel delivery management technology. This appointment follows Sir Terry Leahy’s investment and role as advisor to the Board in May of this year.
Willett comments, “My time at Best Buy and Accenture, has taught me the power and benefit of looking at every process through the lens of the customer and maximizing this experience wherever possible. MetaPack plays a vital part in delivering that superior customer experience, enabled by its unique technology through to the last mile. I’m delighted to be working with such a capable Board and management team, adding to the diversity of experience and skills provided by Sir Terry Leahy and Patrick Wall, Founder and CEO. MetaPack is well positioned to support its retail and carrier partners, further innovate its capabilities and continue to provide consistently superior service where it is an imperative.”
Patrick Wall, MetaPack Founder and CEO, comments, “retailers understand the critical importance of effective and timely delivery, as evidenced by our customer base and key industry figures. Bob Willett is an invaluable addition to our board as we strive to become the preferred delivery solution in the UK, and develop into a truly global platform.”
