Key Account Manager, Northern Region

The Key Account Manager will be responsible to manage client accounts at a strategic level, maintaining relationships within the client organizations at Director, C level or the appropriate decision making levels in order to grow the MetaPack spend and strategic importance within the business planning and operational functions.

DIMENSIONS:

Financial:            

  • Responsible for existing clients generating 30% of total company revenue:
  • First year new business target of £800k (invoiced for license, integration and implementation services)
  • Influence how sales and marketing budget is spent

Leadership:        

  • Become respected authority on interests and needs of existing clients within business and on retail express and parcel services within sector

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Manage existing customers to ensure maximum growth of existing MetaPack products while maintaining valuable client relationships
  • Protect and develop customer satisfaction so that they are delighted by MetaPack products and services
  • Ensure that senior levels within the client’s organization adequately understand the use and potential of MetaPack software solutions along with the levels of support that are being provided by MetaPack.
  • Develop client investment plans for increasing both revenue and perceived return on investment with the aim of making roadmap development self-funding.
  • Promote strategies of long term revenues through transactional deals and use of support and maintenance contracts which include subscriptions.

As a Key Account Manager you will need to have:

  • Sales/business development Training
  • GCSE or equivalents in Maths & English essential
  • E-Commerce and/or  Carrier experience              
  • 5 years knowledge of the UK Retail Market
  • Excellent communication skills including formal presentation and ‘chalk and talk’
  • Sales skills and initiative to create new opportunities in existing accounts

Business Development Manager, Northern Region

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for the sale of the MetaPack Delivery Manager Service to Retailers in the Northern region.  They will manage the sales process to ensure effective development of sales pipeline and closure of sales. 

Principal accountabilities:

  • Develop and manage pipeline of sales opportunities for Delivery Manager
  • Build a pipeline for new products and services including Retail Intelligence and Profit Protection Manager
  • Attend conferences and seminars
  • Make field sales visits to prospective customers
  • Qualify sales opportunities and record their sales progress in Salesforce and other company systems

Head of Business Analysis

The Head of Business Analysis will own the MetaPack business analysis function.

  • To define detailed functionality for new business requirements, whether internal or customer, and decide on appropriate methodologies to use.
  • Ensure consistent and single approach to requirements analysis is adopted across the organisation for projects and software features alike.
  • Line management and leadership of a team of a team of business analysts
  • Liaison with key stakeholders to influence IT development plans, based on a clear understanding of business strategy coupled with knowledge of current business processes and systems operation.
  • Define and drive best practices in business analysis methodology (techniques and tooling) across the group. In particular, further the adoption of Agile delivery as a preferred approach.
  • Ownership of metrics and KPIs spanning the business analysis department.
  • Responsible for ensuring effective knowledge management across the business

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Create a world class Business Analysis function, driving through best practices
  • Be the primary point of contact for the development of business (detailed functional) specifications and implementation of the Roadmap, including:
  • Extension to the current technology and the potential new architecture for delivery in 2013/14
  • Incorporate the relevant DMS (legacy application) functionality into DM
  • Production of documentation for use of all layers of the solution (including infrastructure) for customers, in the form of product descriptions, specifications, and how-to guides, to enable customers to be self-sufficient in the use and support of the applications.  This also includes:
  • Production of release notes and other technical upgrade information.
  • Provide recommendations for the mechanisms by which customers will access this information, e.g. portals, webcasts etc…
  • Production of ‘technical’ documentation and training to be used for internal use and pre-sales.
  • Adequately contribute to the required average Net Promoter Scores with Platinum, Gold and Silver customers
  • In collaboration with relevant business sponsors define and agree the strategic priorities and schedule for the delivery of the above.

Fraud Technical Analyst

The Fraud Technical Analyst will be responsible to define detailed functionality for the MetaPack Fraud product requirements. Drawing on their previous experience in Fraud analysis and working as part of the MetaPack new products initiative the Fraud Analyst will provide key insight and specifications for the MetaPack Fraud product design and delivery.

Linux Platform Developer

Release Manager

The Release Manager will plan and manage the release & CR programme for all MetaPack applications across all platforms

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Manage the Delivery Manager (DM) Development Roadmap and in house product release schedules.
  • Validate Release plans across the applications software and system infrastructure estate, identifying dependencies, conflicts and deviation issues, to ensure effective scheduling of all Releases.
  • Ensure adequate resources are booked for all planned Releases, escalating any concerns to the Data & Business Process Manager in the first instance.
  • Ensure Releases are deployed according to the defined process
  • Communicate and manage the expectation of customers and stakeholders during the planning and rollout of releases.
  • Define, implement and champion well-planned, systematic and repeatable release and CR processes that enable efficient, reliable and stable software and configuration changes across MetaPack platforms
  • Document and distribute release notes to all stakeholders both internal and external for each release
  • Build and maintain effective relationships across internal functions (Infrastructure, Support, Client Services, Development, Testing and Projects) in order to ensure effective delivery of the DM roadmap and release schedules.
  • Management of the CR approval and deployment process

As a Release Manager you will need to have:

  • Educated to degree level
  • 3+ years proven and demonstrable experience in a release/change management role
  • 3+ years’ experience in software release & deployment
  • Excellent understanding of project management methodologies
  • Understanding of development life cycles
  • Understanding of ITIL best practices in Change and Release Management

Carrier Business Analyst

The purpose of this role is to provide experienced and knowledgeable insight that will support the business in dealings with parcel and mail carrier partners. The successful candidate will perform functional and technical analysis of new and updated carrier interface requirements, document/design/develop functional specifications and integrate interfaces according to agreed templates and timetables. Candidates will need to have three or more years experience in a related technical and analytical role. Knowledge of SQL, XML and XSL is essential. Knowledge of Unix/Linux is desirable. A degree in a relevant subject would be an advantage. Appreciation and experience of integration projects and integrated system environment(s) is desirable, as is a working knowledge of bar code symbologies. Experience in warehouse management, logistics or supply chains is desirable.

Sales Manager – Germany

With the concept of Delivery Management and new Carrier Services emerging, this market shows to be a tremendous growth opportunity for MetaPack’s products. To strengthen the local sales team, MetaPack is looking for a sales-driven professional, that wants to play a significant role in the sales process and grow his/her experience in the eCommerce industry.

The ideal candidate should have at least 3 years of business experience, particularly in the field of sales. Interest in and know-how about the eCommerce industry are a must, ideally the candidate’s studies or previous activities were related to this field, or he/she has experience in the logistics industry, ideally working with or for carriers in the past. Experience in Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solutions is a benefit. As important is the candidate’s drive to sell MetaPack’s complex product in a convincing, empathic and consulting approach, which requires a high level of understanding of processes and the ability to create individual scenarios for the customers which go beyond the pure technical functionality.

The candidate will work within the team of Country Sales Managers, managed by the regional Sales Director. He/she will support the market analysis, target definition and play an active role in the sales process. The level of autonomy in the acquisition of customers will be determined by the candidate’s experience and performance, expectations are the ability to eventually lead the full sales cycle from first contact / pitch to closing of the deal.

Pre-Sales Manager – Germany / Europe

This role is supporting the European sales team in analysing customer requirements and the development of Delivery Management solutions, adapted to the cutomers’ needs.  Following its customers’ requirements, MetaPack has started operations in continental Europe from its regional headquarter in Hamburg, Germany. With the concept of Delivery Management and new Carrier Services emerging, this market shows to be a tremendous growth opportunity for MetaPack’s products. To strengthen the European sales team, MetaPack is looking for an experienced Pre-Sales Manager, who combines solid know-how in the fields of IT and logistics.

The candidate will be responsible for providing operational experience and expertise into the design, sale and use of our client’s delivery management software to customers throughout Europe, but with focus on the German market. Supporting the sales process, he/she will ensure that the customers’ systems fit with their current procedures and systems. Additionally, he/she will design several possible solutions for each customer to provide the widest amount of options.

Other duties will include:

  • Liaising with clients to determine the phasing for implementation projects
  • Obtaining agreements from customers regarding proposed solutions and phasing
  • Supporting implementations for specific customer projects
  • Supporting major client change processes
  • Providing customer feedback and assisting in creating the business requirements for such changes

To be considered for this role, experience of the design, specification and subsequent implementation of systems within a distribution environment are required. Additionally, the role requires a pro-active and strategic thinker with strong conceptual and analytical skills, ability to adept in influencing decisions and effective interpersonal and communication abilities. Primary languages in customer communication will be German and English, internal communication will be primarily in English.

In preparation for the role, the candidate will spend 1 to 3 months in London with the central team before being deployed into the Hamburg branch.

The position reports into the Head of Pre-Sales and is being managed by the German Sales Director on a day-to-day base.
